Territory Sales Representative

Emterra Environmental is a leader in the environmental services industry and growing fast.  To facilitate this growth the Company is looking for an experienced Territory Sales Representative to manage its sales and account management in the GTA AREA and help the team meet its sales objectives. We are looking for a high-performing individual to help us meet our customer acquisition, revenue and profit growth targets by keeping our Company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales potential, by weekly field sales calls, one-on-one meetings with customers and execute on performance plans and objectives. You must have a very strong background in sales process, performance, strategy and sales tactics.

What will you do?
  • Achieve growth by increasing market share and proving value to the Company’s customers;
  • Working in the field to develop and gain new business while maintaining existing customer base and delivering exceptional customer service;
  • Need to be field based and have a desire and ability to cultivate sales for larger accounts and coordinate with other Emterra divisions on quoting and executing sales won across divisions;
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan in line with corporate goals that expands Company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence in the targeted markets;
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their short and long term waste diversion and sustainability needs;
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses briefs, highlighting realistic forecasts to the management team;
  • Identify emerging markets, including new services and products, and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status;
  • Work hand-in-hand with the ICI operations team to ensure timely service delivery;
  • Work closely with Operations on delivering superior customer service and developing the skill set of the Customer Service Reps.

What will you bring?
  • 3-5+ years sales experience with a strong knowledge of sales process and sales tools;
  • Post-secondary degree in business or a related field, with relevant sales experience;
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative / account manager or territory manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets;
  • Demonstrated ability to expand market share and service delivery;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization and to customers;
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close;
  • Strong business sense, financial acuity and industry expertise;
  • Able to travel extensively in the GTA, Ontario
